About this sermon
Scripture is essentially clear in its basic message. The psalmist confesses, “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path,” and “the unfolding of your words gives light.” Because God’s word gives light, it can guide his people in the paths of righteousness. Not every passage is equally plain, but what is necessary for salvation and godly living is clearly set forth, so that ordinary believers can read it and understand it.
