This review sermon draws together everything John’s Gospel has said about the Spirit so far, from the new birth of chapter 3 to the living water of chapter 7. Christ consistently teaches a faith in what cannot be seen, and the sermon is careful to say his words have nothing to do with what would later become Pentecostalism. Living in the realm of the Spirit means something more specific, and less spectacular, than that.
