"Satan" Tagged Sermons
Adam and Eve’s sinful response to God is worked through before turning to the curses themselves, placed in turn on serpent, woman, and man. The serpent stays hidden until Christ finally meets him face to face in the wilderness temptation.
Satan uses the serpent’s own natural strengths against Eve, deceiving her through a speaking snake while Adam is conspicuously absent. In doing so, Satan reverses God’s created order entirely, and Eve’s response amounts to a denial of God’s rule.
