1. All details of history are made to fulfill the sovereign-will and plan of God — even the will of pagan rulers (vv. 1-5)!
2. Observe how little welcome the world gave to its’ virgin-born Savior (vv. 6-7).
3. Notice that the first Gospel was preached by an angel (vv 8-20).
1. Take to heart that there is one, and only one, Gospel (vv. 6-7).
2. Heed the apostolic warning: Anyone who perverts the Gospel of Christ will be eternally condemned (vv. 8-9).
1. The gospel reveals that God the Father effectually called elect sinners to salvation by means of the grace of Christ (v. 6).
