Sarcasm, Warning, Encouragement

This sermon is from the Rev. Charles G. Dennison sermon archive, part of the “Misc. Hebrews sermons” series, and was preached at Grace Orthodox Presbyterian Church in Sewickley, PA, during a worship service on Sunday, December 24, 1978.

Therefore, to loosen the elements of teaching without misguidance, we must press on through succession, not to isolate it again. The foundations of succession are the bed work and the faith, and of course, the instruction of God watches this lay mother and the resurrection of the dead.

Our Father, we do ask you to please be the one who is responsible for your people who are the means of your continual service. We look to you for their nourishment. Father, we know that in this time of constant, we are part and parcel of the studies of the past. We turn our backs to you today. We need to be able to have the grace of the Lord and the grace of God to give it to us.

So if you feel like you’ve got all you’ve got, all of our cards are on the floor with you today. If you feel like you’ve got all you’ve got, all of our cards are on the floor with you today. If you feel like you’ve got all you’ve got, all of our cards are on the floor with you today. If you feel like you’ve got all you’ve got, all of our cards are on the floor with you today. If you feel like you’ve got all you’ve got, all of our cards are on the floor with you today. If you feel like you’ve got all you’ve got, all of our cards are on the floor with you today. If you feel like you’ve got all you’ve got, all of our cards are on the floor with you today. If you feel like you’ve got all you’ve got, all of our cards are on the floor with you today.

If you feel like you’ve You need to walk a great deal, you need to do a different or start a better education. It’s not a good company to be in. And all the times you do that, you expect that such behaviors will be removed, and the very fact that you try to remove these behaviors is going to be very flawed. I have a brother who’s a very good ophthalmologist, and I believe he will have a good issue of pain with his camera, even if it only proves he wasn’t prone. Not so. Not so at all. He doesn’t even matter. He’s literally an example of a spider that can start at least five feet off of you.

He was the dark heaven of darkness, and the dark heaven of the Lord himself. And the Lord had to turn too far to the right, so we can get an example of the dark heaven and the Lord of the Lord. It is used to mean a kind of misty-eyed light that moves forth.

And he’s starting to project the disrespect for God in a good way, and he’s causing arrogance and foolishness in the community. All is possible if you can initiate it. It’s as simple as that. Oftentimes, resorting to sarcasm, trying to deceive them with their tools, and making light of them by that tool, trying to shape them out of the leprosy, trying to shape them out of the delinquency or the vicinity to which they have fallen. And so in the air, in the letter to the Spirit, he has the illusion of a distracted example of a beautiful stargazer. Here’s the only example of an apostle, of one writing by inspiration of the Holy Spirit, laughing, really, using humor, like a stargazer, to get at his audience. And that’s not something that’s necessarily going to do the right thing. I think it’s probably all psychological. Then, instead of thinking about self-abuse, you start thinking about self-abuse and self-love.

You start, again, with the word of Spartacus to those who read what he has to say. He follows that with a word of warning, verses 1 through 8 of the sixth chapter, and he winds it up in the ninth, that is, the first of the eight verses of the sixth chapter, and then in verses 9 through 12 of the sixth chapter, he concludes with a word of encouragement. The pattern is from a word of sarcasm to a word of warning to a word of encouragement to these people. I mean, Erickson, I’m your novel hearing, the eleventh verse of the fifth chapter.

You can’t hear any more of what I have to say. I want to back you in this terrible way, but you consider to me your home ground, where you know everything, and where no thought that’s alive in the way of a stranger to you. In fact, you know geography so well that no one now will tell you anything. And that’s been the vision of the people.

But I hear it from many of you that the writer is a figure of maleficence, this rather mysterious figure of the Old Testament, the 14th chapter of Genesis. And I am not to tell you things that seem to escape your notice. Do you know it all? And now he’s going to be a lawyer.

He said, you ought to find new teachers, and that’s exactly what they tried to do. So again, they’re the ones that knew everything, and they’re the ones that were hated. But he, when he saw his teachers, he began to calculate who ought to be teachers.

Who do we want to be teachers? We are teachers. No, we’re not. By this time, you ought to be teachers. But you have me now, or someone, to teach you the very elementary principles of the laws of God. Hi, my name is Jeff. We’re beyond the elementary, the elementary principals, or the elementary level. We’re beyond those things. If anyone knows the word, it’s the five majors. If anybody can teach them, we can.

He takes away from them their pride. He takes away from them, doing the same things that they have been fated to do. And he’s trying to make light of them. You think you’re feasting on solid food, do you? Well, what you need is milk. I don’t want to be rude to certain followers. It’s the accusation that, after all, these people are vain. It’s not really stupid for a scholar to lose his top, but only stupid to lose nothing. And then he goes on to explain himself, that everyone who takes this note is not accustomed to the word of righteousness.

Here were people who prided themselves and knowledge about the oracles of God. And at the center of this oracle of God is the theme of righteousness. If there’s anyone that would consider themselves righteous, it would be these people. And these, the writer is directly concerned. are thrown up. And to be thrown up, you must have, to a sense of plain concern, good and evil, and throw yourself, he says, away from righteousness, even if you have righteousness, is to be unable to discern good and evil, so that the end result of this whole downward trend, this whole process, in your experience, is utter moral confusion.

That’s the purpose of the book. The people taught themselves why. They taught themselves to know their own temple. They taught their youth the Bible. They tried themselves in that. If there was anyone who knew before they were taught this, if there was anyone who could teach their kids to be mature, let them be mature.

And to that, the writer needed to cut back his work. How effective? It’s not effective. You’re in the middle. You know? Well, it’s a good thing, isn’t it? That you have a lot of time to do that. If there’s anything today that states itself, it doesn’t appear to me. It’s just a thought that comes to mind. It’s just a thought that comes to mind. It’s just a thought that comes to mind. It’s just a thought that comes to mind. It’s just a thought that comes to mind.

And there will be interesting things about this practice that people want to believe in, and other people don’t want to believe in. But the interesting thing about this practice is that you realize that this group of people find themselves in their knowledge of the Spirit.

But that knowledge of the figures did not permit them to understand the depth of the relationship between the now astounding figures of the Old Testament and the rest of the Prophets. And that speaks of a greater problem. The problems that this group of people had, even with all their knowledge of the Scriptures, was that they were unable to experience Christ in the Word. In reading the Old Testament, all they saw there was a scripture that possibly prepared them for the day of the Messiah, but not a word which pertained specifically to and spoke directly about that Messiah appointed by Him.

So by reading the stories of the Old Testament, the scriptures of the Jews, this writer is saying to them, to Him, Christ, in those scriptures. I don’t want our church to dissolve here, but sometimes I tend to say we give very little to God. And what I have in mind is that the purpose of this purpose, as it should be for every purpose, is to glorify Christ and to preach Christ out of every sense.

So that running back into the Old Testament isn’t merely a going back into interesting history, into interesting lives of men who lived in former times. It isn’t a matter of going back and trying to instill wise words to live by. fathers themselves have no meaning apart from the significance of human strife. And how is that brought out? It is brought out by the fact that the one who writes fathers is the son of David, and in that he is a rationalist. so that the wisdom that proceeds from the Son of David is a configuration of the wisdom of the King of whom it sits upon the throne of David forever.

And to miss that point is to miss the significance of God. Our Father then, Christ Jesus, is to be preached, and the eternal kingdom is to be prophesied. Nothing less than that will do. And to live Jesus Christ in him is to live the life of passion. The verse itself is openly peaceful, and we find it in you and I’ll do everything so that when we read Isaiah, it’s not just when we get to the 9th chapter, the 6th verse, that we begin to preach about Jesus, but we begin to preach about Jesus from the very outset of that chapter, and from the very outset of that prophecy. It is this kind of cleaning that the Church needs desperately, and because the Church has failed to hear this kind of instruction, this kind of teaching, it can place itself right in the midst of these verses. Priding themselves in their ability to teach, but teaching nothing in the final hour, because that teaching is not related to the Christ. Church is always open, ready.

Non-conformism is a word of life. And you find that that’s not only the coming of the King with regard to the matter of his earthly life, but in the end, he’s coming to the King as he wants to be his, his, and his. There is only one road to Jesus Christ. And that was to say that this book, from day to day, is a book about Jesus Christ. And in the shade of the final goodwill, it’s a mystical book. The earth and its being are the same.

When shall I find you with men of good conscience? Have I heard words of complaint? Too heavy, too intellectual, too astrology, too stupid. My urgent need is not to do that, to simply give it to God. but in you to develop a means by which you can actually give to that Word an all-rising power, so that every act, every act is beginning to speak to us about the glory of God.

Now, if you take a look at this, wherever I start at from here, he doesn’t leave the line. He goes on to the very, very, very early on in the morning. And the first page of the book is that. He wants them to read the elementary teachings of alchemy and science, and he wants them to press on and be able to understand. And that’s the point. In fact, there is one ingenious commentator who has suggested that the first verse of the sixth chapter is the key passage to the system. I think that that understanding has a lot to do with it.

The point that he is making here is that it is only from the perspective of perfection itself that we are able to get beyond the elementary teachings that dispute themselves anyway, but in effect while his race of enemies has missed the final point, which is God’s complete destruction. The Jews had elementary teachings with regard to the Messiah. They have elementary teachings with regard to repentance from death, birth, faith towards God, instruction about washing, laying on of hands, resurrection of the dead, early judgment. But what this writer wants his readers to understand is that it is only the perception of perfection that will carry a person beyond the elementary principle.

It’s only by grasping that that one will be able to progress to the greater. To him, perfection is the perfection of his life. who has endured in trial and survived, who has persevered under duress and dedication, and he endures perfectly. And because of that, it enters into the perfect glory of the realms of heaven. It is the perfection of the heavenly kingdom where the perfected Son of God sits enthroned at the right hand of God.

That is the perspective now that must be resolved and expressed upon the people so that when they read the Word, When it comes to the matters of faith, if they fail to see that, or even if they fail to that generation, earth-free. They were once enlightened, as it was with the Jews. They were once enlightened. They tasted of the Adventist and he said that the matter came down out of Heaven and settled in the wilderness. Partakers of the Holy Spirit indeed, because they were on the community of faith. They were even experiencing there a baptism in the Holy Spirit, in the cloud, in the cloud, which represented to them that baptism in the Holy Spirit. They tasted the good word of God, and the power of the Holy Spirit, and they fell away.

It is impossible for them to be renewed. Since they crucified themselves with the Son of God, and they put Him through an open chain of heaven, what is the case with Israel that crucified the Lord of Glory because they never did understand the point?

So it will be for everyone who misses the point whether you have a bad thing to say about Jesus or not. The conclusion of your life will be a crucifixion of the Lord of glory, and including Him to open the chamber. Letting you, Lord, anyone who gets prepared to practice And that is why we must be absolutely careful. Because everything else that strikes me in the back means this thing, that Jesus Christ is so close-fetched from the earth, and that he is brought to them from heaven. But I think I might also be dangerous if I did this. to have given up the Christ of the Bible for the sake of moral reform, as if ethics revolved The end of that kind of faith is the crucifixion, the putting to death, the alliteration of the Son of God, Moses, on the site of the earth.

We cannot permit ourselves any such luxury. We can’t forbid ourselves the kinds of lectures that refuse to do the highest work on the purposes and the context of the public community. And as well, that’s the point that I want to make. We’ve dug it out, and we’ve emerged from it. We’ve pursued it, and we’ve emerged from the field. And we’ve failed to realize that the perception of perfection has been misplaced. And to misplace it requires us to give it, even though we’ve been enlightened.

Even though he had tasted of the country, he has remained so chaste as ever before. The good Lord God has empowered him to do that. Even though there were things that he said or did, he lived the fact. He actually lived the truth, and doing right, he came forth. This was then a self-administrative, qualified, follow-through from George’s endeavours to the beautiful work of his mother.

So, look at 9-3-1. He says, I think that the beginning of perfection of heaven and hell is good for you. He says, you love it. You have to do some better things concerning you. I said, well, you have been a recipient of those things, encompassed salvation, together with salvation itself, even though it’s possible to lose it. But God is not a judge. He gives you a word and a life.

One of the things that this writer realizes is that he must, in the final analysis, address the people as those who are in the pastimes, who have become partakers of the glories of the perfections themselves. And only as partakers of those perfections can they perform.

So that their work, and their laws, and their ministries are self-working, all black professions here in the world are good, because teaching is the prayer that Christ taught to say. And we are to pray, Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, in earth as it is in heaven. As it is in heaven, now begin to manifest Himself here on earth, and that is the only kingdom for self. Any other perspective than that is an attack upon the kingdom. He recognizes that they are then partakers of the kingdom of God.

He recognizes that that kingdom has had an effect in their lives, and God will not be unjust for His life. And He will not forget their providential birth and their providential lives and their lives. of this wonderful, encouraging world, with the obvious setness of their own relationship with the Kingdom, to go along, as he says, and we desire that each one of you show the same diligence, that each of you have the same diligence so as to realize the full assurance of social life. In other words, to demonstrate that the full assurance of social life is needed. In order to demonstrate that this perception is indeed your possession, He says to them, each one of you now must be courageous to continue to live out of the power and out of the perspective of that perfection.

Don’t be afraid. Begin with prayer. Begin with worship. Begin, most importantly, with family and friends. which to this writer is of the greatest importance. Don’t forget that, but the imitators of those who do make imitation terrible. You can’t make the projections of science how it is to be created. Only if you maintain that projection of the perspective of science will you be brought into that projection, which experiences the transitions of creation. like a bird. Kindness, that’s it. Kindness. Then you come. Kindness, that’s it. You become a Christian. You become a Christian. You become a Christian. You become a Christian. You become a Christian. You become a Christian. You become a Christian. You become a Christian. You become a Christian. You become a Christian. You become a Christian. You become a Christian. You become a Christian. You become a Christian. You become a Christian. You become a Christian.

You become a Christian. You become a Christian. You become a Christian. You become a Christian. You become a Christian. You become a Christian. You become a Christian. You become a Christian Let us not, then, proceed with cowardice or be liable to the charge of doing some vulgarity.

And let us, as the people of God, begin to discern Christ and His glory everywhere in the world, and also be influenced by innovation for its great aspect and glory within our daily life. And let us, each one, have equal ability to do just that.” There’s an incantation in that quote, a line of our explanation.

Sovereign Kennedy asked me that he would look to me. Thank you for granting me what is expected of a glorious man. He mentioned his purpose and what it is that he will do for our country and the world. He took the view, and he did, and he carried on. So that’s the case, and what is his goal here, is not what is going on. And therefore, it is a gift that you will feel good about it. And it is a gift that you will feel good about it. And it is a gift that the Lord has always come to protect. And the Lord has always supported. So we do this so that in this year, we may not only prove that we are brothers and sisters, but that we are different, that we are better, and that our hope is constant and that we will feel good about it.
