About this sermon
“Who shall bring any charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies… Christ Jesus is the one who died, more than that, who was raised, who is at the right hand of God, who indeed is interceding for us.” Christ’s intercession is a comforting doctrine: the risen Savior pleads for his people before the Father, so no accusation can stand against them. Because he intercedes, nothing can separate believers from the love of Christ, and the doctrine strengthens their hope in the midst of suffering.
